First Annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show and Radio Seminar to be held in Arlington, Texas

>FORT WORTH, TEXAS (January 17, 2011) - Texas Regional Radio Report and the Texas Regional Radio & Music Association groups will host the first annual Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show and Radio Seminar March 25th-26th, 2011 at the Arlington Music Hall in Arlington, Texas; just down the road from Cowboys Stadium and The Ballpark in Arlington. The Awards show will be held on March 25th and the radio seminar will be on March 26th. The Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show is the first music chart sponsored awards where Texas/Red Dirt artists who have achieved recognition in the Texas Regional Chart will be nominated and voted on by fans, music industry professionals and artists for awards show honors. Voters must be members of the Texas Regional Radio & Music Association (TRRMA) to vote. Three rounds of voting will take place. The first round is the nomination ballot, the second round is the final nomination ballot and the third round is the final voting round.

The Awards Show honors will be grouped in the following categories: Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Duo/Group, New Artist (Male, Female and Group/Duo), Single, Album, Song, Music Video, Radio Station (Large, Medium, Small markets), On-Air Personality (Large, Medium, Small markets), Radio Station Promotion, Internet Radio Station, Syndicated Radio Show and Festivals. All eligible nominations must meet the criteria specified in TRR criteria explanations and found at www.texasregionalradio.com/trrma.

TRRMA MEMBERSHIP

Again, membership to the Texas Regional Radio & Music Association is required to vote for the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards Show. After 2011, an annual membership fee will be assessed.
